Prior to your consultation for morbid obesity surgery, it is beneficial for you to undertake some research into the types of procedures available, such as laparoscopic gastric banding, laparoscopic gastric bypass, laparoscopic duodenal switch and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. Even if you think you have chosen your ideal procedure for morbid obesity, such as the gastric bypass, it is important to look into all other surgical options as well to make sure that the gastric bypass is right choice for you.
